Ada Mau Ada Mau has grown up in several different cultures and places. Currently she calls herself a Londoner; she has also lived in California and Hong Kong. After being dissatisfied with life in the rat race for a few years, she decided to embark on an ADVENTURE and go back to university to obtain her postgraduate education. She is now working as an academic researcher. Her research interests include issues and discourses of identities, gender, cultural transmission, and social justice within formal and informal education and cultural policies. When she is not busy reading research journals and interviewing people, Ada enjoys music, art, good food, travelling, cool clothes and shoes.
Alaina Roach O'Keefe Alaina Roach O’Keefe was born in Owen Sound, Ontario. To her delight, her family moved to Prince Edward Island when she was 10 years old. Alaina has recently completed her Bachelor of Education (2005) and her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology (2003) from the University of Prince Edward Island, and is currently working on her Masters in Applied Health Services Research (ARTC-UPEI).
Alaina Roach O'Keefe is both an educator and a researcher. She works at UPEI as a Research Coordinator for Family Literacy in Rural and Aboriginal Communities in Atlantic Canada. Her research interests lie in the areas of intergenerational literacy, child and adolescent health, and inclusion. Alaina also enjoys traveling, running, UFIT, and boating with her husband, Sean. She loves red wine and planning parties (weddings, birthdays, surprises, themes, etc).
Two ADVENTURES that Alaina experienced this year: she ran her first half marathon, and went to her first (but hopefully not last) Mötley Crue/ Aerosmith concert!
