The moment this book arrived, my son was delighted. The bright colors on the front drew my five- year-old's attention immediately, and, as he leafed the pages waiting for me to read, you could see he would love this book.
We sat to read it together and neither of us was disappointed. Elijah is just learning to read and loves books that he can help me read. Scieszka’s book is wonderful for young readers as there are many small words they can help read and the pictures illustrate the story in great detail.
As a mom, I am always watchful for books that can nurture his love of reading and I was happy to find a new author who has captured his interest. The pictures and details of the story were the perfect combination for him. I knew it was a true hit when after I finished he asked for an immediate reread. I will be sure to look for more Trucktown books at our local bookstore and I suggest if you have child in your life that loves action, adventure, and cars and trucks that you hurry out and try this one too.
