Feminism is such a powerful word to me. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear it is equality. I am not scared of using the so called "F-word", I am proud and happy to use it and to describe myself as a feminist.

To me, feminism is about giving women choices and respect in their
lives.
Yes, a woman should be able to become a CEO, a politician, a professor, or a
lawyer; however, she should also be given the choice to be a stay home
mother, or the opportunity to work part time and spend part of her time to
take care of her family. A woman shouldn't be judged on her appearance, but
she should be able wear a short skirt to feel sexy and confident about
herself and not be subjected to harrassment. It's about all understanding
that all women are different, and both men and women should respect andsupport women's choices to be themselves.

For me feminism is the pursuit of men and women's social equality, to
the
point at which gender ceases to have a bearing on social power and
behaviours. And beyond that, the moral commitment to challenging other
forms of social inequality.
